Ostiv Award for Walter Binder
The OSTIV Award 2014 goes to Walter Binder ....
Walter Binder received the OSTIV Award for his outstanding contribution to the development of retractable engines and self launching gliders.
The awarding ceremony was held at the opening of the OSTIV congress witch was organized together with the WGC 2014 in Lezno, Poland.
11 EBs participated in the Open class. Michael Sommer finished first in his EB29, winning his fourth title as World Champion and the second World Championship for the EB29. Uli Schwenk finished fourth, also flying the EB29.
