EB28 edition – the further development of the EB28 – modified for fast pre-flight. Two pilots experience top performance, innovative wing profiles and maximum comfort.
Depending on the choice of wing attachment, with a wingspan of 28.03 m or 25.3 m.
Two-seater EB28 edition
Great comfort. Strong performance.
The EB28 edition is the further development of the EB28 two-seater for the highest demands in modern gliding.
With a choice of 25.3 or 28.3 metre wingspans, innovative wing profiles with winglets and an optimised design, the aircraft offers exceptional versatility and top performance in the open class.
The spacious cockpit is designed to accommodate even tall pilots and ensures maximum comfort with individually adjustable ventilation and electric trim.
Thanks to its modern vacuum-formed construction, the EB28 edition impresses with its low empty weight and high wing loading variability.
The solo motor is integrated for self-launching, allowing pilots to remain flexible and independent. Your companion for ambitious cross-country flights, competitions and moments of enjoyment in the two-seater.

description EB28 edition two-seater
fuselage
- The spacious cockpit offers comfortable space even for tall pilots.
- To ensure optimum passive safety, the seat pans are made of carbon and Kevlar fibers.
- The sprung landing gear is retractable and equipped with a hydraulic disc brake, which is actuated when the airbrakes are fully extended.
- The cockpit ventilation is supplied via an air inlet in the fuselage nose.
- The fuselage has a tail water tank to compensate for the center of gravity when flying with wing water ballast.
Landing gear and brake
- Landing gear electrically retractable and extendable
- Sprung landing gear
- Hydraulic disc brake
- Tailwheel
Engine
- Solo engine 2625 02
- Water cooling
- Dual ignition
- Electric starter
- The engine monitoring instrument is installed in the instrument panel.
- For improved extension and retraction as well as starting of the engine, batteries with a final charging voltage of 16.8 V are installed.
- Toothed belt (width 62 mm) with 1:3 reduction
- Standard with Binder BM-G1-160-R-120-1 composite propeller
Extras
- PU paint for better temperature resistance and reduced cracking of the paint
- Electrically retractable landing gear
- Refuelling pump permanently installed for filling the fuselage tank
- Bracket for a 4 l oxygen bottle
- Leather interior (seat cushions and pocket set)
- Tinted canopy
- The transponder antenna for the Mode S unit can be installed in the fin, so there is no aerodynamic interference.
- Extension wings with winglets for 25.3 m wingspan
cockpit
The cockpit is equipped with removable visible-carbon shell seats with parachute wells. The one-piece acrylic glass canopy provides the pilots with excellent visibility from the cockpit. The canopy is fitted with two sliding windows. The anti-fog ventilation of the canopy and one separate, individually adjustable air outlet for the pilot and co-pilot in the right sidewall are standard.
Equipment
- An electrically adjustable trim, operated by a switch on the front control stick, is installed as standard.
- The front rudder pedals are adjustable in flight.
- The aircraft is equipped with a TOST safety release for aerotow.
- The rod antenna for good radio reception is installed in the fin.
- For better handling on the ground, the extension wings are fitted with wheels.
- For fuel, flexible fuel bags with a capacity of 18 liters each in the inner wings and the fuselage fuel tank with a capacity of 19.5 l are available.
T-tail
- Mass-balanced elevator
- Tailplane in CFRP sandwich construction
- Fin made of glass fiber for the reception of the integrated radio and transponder antenna
Wings
- The six-part wing with laminar profile and boundary layer control on the underside of the wing is built using high-modulus fiber.
- The wingspan can be varied between 25.3 m and 28.3 m by using extension wings of different length. Flexible fuel bags with a capacity of 18 liters each are installed in the inner wings.
- The flaps and ailerons in CFRP construction are also manufactured using high-modulus fiber and are therefore particularly light and stiff.
- The CFRP airbrakes in the inner wing are fitted with spring-loaded covers on the upper wing surface.
- The water tanks in the outer wings each have a capacity of 50 liters. The carbon fiber control rods in the wing are sealed with bellows.
Weight reduction
By vacuuming off excess resin during the construction of the shells (fuselage, wings and tailplane), a considerable amount of weight is already saved – for example, a weight reduction of around 10 kg is achieved on the fuselage shells. A further 5 kg weight saving is made possible by installing lithium-manganese batteries in the fuselage.
