Namibia 2012/2013

The 2012/2013 soaring season in Namibia has come to an end, and once again there were many days with excellent weather conditions for outstanding flights.

This season, 14 EB aircraft were flown in Namibia, reporting a total of 333,300 km to the OLC. Of the 386 flights submitted by EB pilots, 146 exceeded 1,000 km — including 41 flights over 1,100 km, 25 flights over 1,200 km, and four flights over 1,300 km.

The longest distance was flown by Bostjan Pristavec on December 6, 2012, in the EB28 edition, covering 1,405 km at an average speed of 166 km/h.
With 1,380.65 points, Alexander Müller achieved the season’s highest‑scoring flight on December 19 flying the EB29.
