Felipe Levin World Champion in the Open Class with EB29R

The 38th FAI World Gliding Championships for 18 m, two-seater and open class gliders, held from 17 to 31 August 2024 in Uvalde, Texas, were a success for the German team.

Speeds of 129–164 km/h were achieved on 12 scoring days. With 164.53 km/h on the second scoring day, Michael Sommer recorded the fastest flight.

As a team, Felipe Levin and Michael Sommer took first and second place in the Open Class with their EB29R single-seaters.

The five participating EB29Rs all finished in the top six places.
