Felipe Levin World Champion in the Open Class with the EB29R

The 40th FAI World Gliding Championships in the 18-metre, Two-Seater, and Open Classes, held from 16 to 30 May 2026 in Rudniki, Poland, were a success for the German team.

After ten exciting competition days, Felipe Levin and Michael Sommer, both flying the EB29R, finished first and third respectively in the Open Class standings.

After 14 days of competition, the German team secured team gold for its outstanding performance, achieving a total of three gold and two bronze medals. Congratulations to the entire team!
